Let Your Nails Breathe!

Ladies! Our nails needs to breathe. I have come across some women who cannot do without fixing artificial nails. they fix their nails every 2-3 weeks. Don’t you think it is time to ask yourself why you suffer yours nail that much? Why do you fix?  Some women fix their nails for different reasons; some to look good and feel comfortable on a daily basis, some to look good for events, some are just addicted to fixing because they have long natural nails or because it is in vogue. Honestly, I only fix my nails 2-3 times(highest) in a year! And I like to focus on my natural nails more. But I understand we are different, I am not saying fixing of nails is bad but it should not be always. Don’t you think so?

Artificial nails can cause some problems like fungal infection. Our nails are porous, absorbing chemicals and compounds into them. We are exposed to the chemicals applied directly on our nail beds and skin each time we fix our nails. Long term use and poorly fitted nails can damage the nail bed and deter natural nail growth. It is also good to note that the glue that bonds the artificial nail with the top of your real nail produces a strong bond which is much stronger than that between your nails and nail bed.

So, if anything happens to the acrylic nails and pulls up, it is only your natural nail that will suffer from the tear which will affect your nail bed. The gap that opens between your nails and nail bed when a tear occurs create a perfect and damp atmosphere for bacteria to grow.

Ladies! Enjoy your natural nails, let it breathe, polish your nails if you can’t stand looking at your bare nails, use cuticle oil, nail hardeners, treat your nails to grow, you can have the natural long nails you have always longed for. If you wear artificial nails often, be careful in maintaining it. I hope this was helpful.
